Round 1: Four Insight Prizes Awarded


Insight Prizes recognize valuable contributions: new hypotheses, overlooked connections, and ideas that can be acted on. Congratulations to our four winners, each awarded $2,000:


  • A pediatric gastroenterologist shared specialist analysis that informed his next treatment plan.

  • An internist proposed a detailed plan for a treatment he tried.

  • Christina DeLoreto Holloway, RN, LNC stayed with the case for six months, refining her analysis as results came in and pressing for testing that has since been added.

  • Imran Arif spotted a critical gap in an earlier immune workup, which led to new testing.


The case isn't solved. The $100,000 Grand Prize and both $15,000 Major Contribution Prizes remain open, and one Insight Prize remains available. Ideas that haven't been tried yet can still be recognized in future rounds. Thank you to the more than 100 people who have sent ideas so far. Submissions remain open.
